September 4, 2012 (regular monthly meeting)
Propagating presented by DeNora Dial, accredited flower show judge. This program will be a demonstration clinic and teaching seminar on "making more plants". Learn about the science, art and joy of propagation.
September 18 Creative Design Study Group
Fun with Floral Design “Inventive, Ingenious, Innovation with Flowers”.
Subject: Creative Floral Design.
September 25 Garden Spaders
Private tour at the Heritage Farmstead Museum and grounds, the location for Plano Garden Club’s new container garden project and site of the new Prairie Garden. We will tour the formal, vegetable, and container gardens, and see the farmhouse interior.
October 2, 2012 (regular monthly meeting)
The Secrets of Saffron presented by Mary Nell Jackson, Herb Society of America. Learn about the origin, history and special value of saffron in the herb family. Through lecture and slides, Mary Nell explain why Saffron is a hidden gem.

Miracles of Monarchs presented by Janet Smith, Dallas County Master Gardener The state butterfly of Texas migrates through Texas to its winter home in Mexico. If you like butterflies, you will love the slides Janet will share about the Monarch and its journey in this informative lecture.

Holiday luncheon for members and guests at Stonebriar Country Club, Frisco.
Because we had so much fun with it last year, our members will play our horticulture game, which earned the club a Best Program Award from South Central Region of Garden Clubs.
January 8, 2013 (regular monthly meeting)
Herbal Cornucopia presented by Marian Buchanan, Dallas County Master Gardener. A little of this and a little of that…simple recipes for homemade herbal products and crafts, including herb sugars, butters and vinegars will be shared as a hands on workshop by Marian. There will be handouts and tasting of a recipe or two.

January 24 Garden Spaders
Pilgrimage to NorthPark Center for a tour of their landscaping and art, followed by lunch at NorthPark.
February 5, 2013 (regular monthly meeting)
Founding Fathers and How They Gardened presented by Rose-Mary Rumbley, historian, humorist, author and actress. Rose-Mary Rumbley is a fascinating speaker who injects humor into her program about history and famous gardeners.

In this entertaining and educational lecture and slide show, we will learn how flowers lure insects to help with their reproduction and how they reward the pollinators.

Join our off-site pilgrimage to Gina's beautiful home and greenhouse. With over 19 years experience growing Gina will offer lead us on a tour of these tropicals with tips about how to grow them. Some will be offered for sale.
